Janessa Guerro


Ya'at'eeh (Greetings)! You guessed it, I am Dine (Navajo). Born and raised on a small band off the "Big Rez" called Alamo, NM. I attended school in nearby town, Magdalena (also small); it is here that my love for photography began. Digital Arts, an elective class in 7th or 8th grade. I applied my knowledge to the pictures I took for the yearbook committee. I remember nipping at every chance I could to get my hands on that camera.


I went through the waves of life in the workforce and college. I graduated with a few certificates and degrees from Central New Mexico Community College. I studied and acquired the necessary pre-requisites needed to apply to the Nursing program. I eventually got in, but things changed! Then Covid hit, I bought a camera, and photography made its way back into my life.


I started with product and model photography. Relearned Adobe and all the new creative features it offered. My work has since evolved into more Editorial & Candid styled photography. I'm in love with this journey and finding creative ways to share the way I see all the little & BIG moments. Eventually, I would like to share stories through my work. I'm working on it. So...
